Founded in 2006 by filmmaker Thiago Da Costa, we are a New York City based video production and post production company with offices in Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles and with experience producing all over the Americas and Europe. We offer a variety of different services and are in the business of creating audiovisual content that seeks to edify, captivate and inspire.

We have clients in advertising, fashion, news, film, and television and we target theatrical, television, VOD and web distribution for our work. We have the technical expertise, the experience and the artist's eye for detail to turn any idea into an audiovisual reality. Errol Morris Gives Figura A Thumbs Up

Figura conducted an interview with Oscar-winning director Errol Morris at a recent edition of the Toronto International Film Festival in which the filmmaker complimented the work of Figura Media founder Thiago Da Costa on camera!

The Rise of Emicida

THE RISE OF EMICIDA was a recent documentary commissioned by Vice Media that Figura Media founder Thiago Da Costa produced and directed featuring Braziian rap superstar Emicida. The documentary was as an entry in the Vice Media/Intel joint venture called The Creators Project and it ended up becoming that project's most successful and highly watched video profile to date with over 1 million views in its first week of release.

The Brazil Office Has Arrived

Figura Media has joined forces with Keep In News Agency, a video news agency based in New York City, to create The Brazil Office. The Brazil Office is a video news organization based in Rio de Janeiro and dedicated to the production of Brazilian news video stories for the European and North American news markets. The venture takes advantage of Figura's familiarity with producing in Brazil and Keep In News' proven record of creating high quality news stories for many worldwide markets.

Our team of Brazilian culture-immersed professionals brings our audience closer to the everyday Brazilian reality. We will be producing news stories in and about Brazil starting in March of 2012.

GASP will be at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Market in France

GASP, the latest directorial effort by Thiago Da Costa in the fiction genre, will be present at the Short Film Market at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in France in late January. The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival is the largest short film festival in the world. It has been dubbed by some as the "Cannes for Short Films". GASP will be up for sale at the market along with 4500 other short films from around the world. A Figura Media representatitve will be at the market to negotiate sales for the film. Read more →
