August 2010

Phase 1 of post-production on the ERICH FROMM: THE COURAGE TO BE HUMAN project set to begin, with Thiago directing and Will Gale as its editor.

Pre-production for GASP! begins in earnest. Brantley Doyle and Danny Ahn join the project as associate producers. Production is scheduled from Aug 23 to Sept 1, 2010.

Post-production on A KLOSET FULL OF KLAN ROBES begins. Producers Thiago Da Costa and Owen Cooper begin editing the video with the help of editors Jim Krimsky, William Gale and Tim Gann.

May 2010

Thiago completes Draft 2 of GASP! and sets the project up as his next directorial effort. An underwater test shoot with Owen Cooper playing the character of Jim Petrarsky is shot in a pool in upstate New York.

March 2010

Thiago Da Costa edits Miguel Silveira's short film MANBIRD.

January 2010 - March 2010

Thiago is on the road once again as the director of photography of MORE THAN A MONTH.

January 2010 - July 2010

Thiago directs, shoots and edits 30 videos for the soon to be launched travel video website GloboMaestro.

December 2009

Thiago produces and shoots a series of web documentaries for Vice Magazine and Intel's CREATORS PROJECT in Brazil. Three of these docs can be seen and the following links: Amapô, Muti Randolph and Ricardo Carioba.

November 2009

Thiago shoots a video in the Dominican Republic for Ben and Jerry's.

October 2009

Thiago shoots and edits the pilot for the new VBS.TV show, Munchies. The season opener features powerhouse New York City chef, David Chang, owner of Momofuku Ko among other restaurants. You can watch the video here.

September 2009

Thiago is currently engaged in editing the narrative film ROOFTOP WARS, directed by Miguel Silveira, winner of IFP Chicago's Production Grant.

August 2009

Thiago returns from an unforgetabble trip to Greenland with hundreds of pictures and an article for Globorati.com about his experiences there. You can see some of the photo highlights here.

July 2009

Shukree Thilgman's MORE THAN A MONTH, which Thiago has been shooting for almost two years, just won an ITVS Open Call Grant. This means Thiago will go back to production on this project in the Winter of 2009.

April - May 2009

Thiago goes to Brazil where he shoots 7 documentaries for Vice Magazine's online documentary channel VBS.TV. Videos include profiles of Oscar Niemeyer, Watermelon Woman and Oscar Maroni. The highlight of the trip is a journey documentary called THE SAPO DIARIES that took Thiago to the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest to discover the secret drug of the Mayoruna Indians.

Thiago goes to Northern Mexico to shoot a project for Daimler.
