Produced as Thiago Da Costa's senior thesis film during his days at NYU, BEFORE TAKE OFF follows Diogo, a 14-year-old boy, as he matures and deals with his mother's decision to remarry and move from Brazil to the United States. Shot entirely in Brazil, Before Take Off was screened at over 30 film festivals and won six awards including Best Emerging Filmmaker at the San Antonio CineFestival.

GASP
The second major fiction film from Thiago Da Costa, GASP focuses on the psychological state of Jim Petrarsky, a man who has given up on the dreams of his youth. Struggling to find work and pay his bills, Jim is diagnosed with sleep apnea, a condition that isolates him from others and makes him feel that he is submerged underwater, unable to breathe. GASP will tour the film festival circuit in 2012.

THE DARYL DAVIS PROJECT
This controversial feature-length documentary tackles the chronic issue of racism in a "post-racial" United States. The film follows Daryl Davis, a boogie-woogie rock 'n' roll pianist, as he sets out to meet and ultimately befriend a number of white supremacists in an attempt to understand what leads them to hate. Featuring interviews with ex-members of the Ku Klux Klan, the film is set for release in late 2012.

THE ESSENTIAL ERICH FROMM
A biographical documentary chronicling the life of Erich Fromm, a German psychoanalyst and social activist who advocated a philosophy blending the teachings of Freud and Marx. Primarily utilizing archival footage of speeches and interviews given by Fromm, the film also includes interviews with many Fromm experts and contemporaries, including Noam Chomsky. The film is set for release in Spring 2013.
