Thiago Da Costa recent documentary chronicling Brazilian hip-hop star Emicida's rise to fame, THE RISE OF EMICIDA, has reached over one million views since its release only a few short months ago. Shot as part of Vice Media and Intel's The Creator's Project, the video has quickly become the most viewed piece in the series, surpassing the popularity of all other videos, including those on English-speaking artists. This feat is doubly impressive as Emicida has managed to transcend his notoriety in a third-world country into a growing worldwide fame. After the documentary's explosion across the internet, MTV screened the film nationwide in Brazil over 20 times before giving him Best Music Video and naming him Artist of the Year at Brazil's MTV Awards.
